Many materials around us, such as straws, shopping bags, and product cases are changing from plastic to paper. Paper is definitely a better option for the Earth than plastic in terms of "decomposition" and "recycling." Additionally, it doesn't pollute the ocean with microplastics either. However, using paper means cutting down tremendous precious trees, and the production process emits more carbon than creating plastic. And as a brand using hundreds of paper cases a day, we got into deep worries.

‘Limestone Bio-Compound’ is an eco-friendly composite material that contains limestone as its main ingredient. Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). And yes, it is basically a rock that we pass by everyday without even noticing it. However, this “stone powder” material is as sturdy as plastic, but is more eco-friendly than paper.

We have deeply and thoroughly thought about making the case as not only a case it self but as a piece of masterpiece. This is because we strongly believe that it should play a wonderful role as a jewelry box and also as a beautiful gift package. Additionally, it needs to perform as a jewelry tray with the cover closed.

With the fact that it took more than five whole months from material selection to production, we hope our sincerity has been showed and embedded into our works. Us, COLDFRAME will always try to provide our customers with a valuable experience in every steps.
